Tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio Show will feature a chat with Nikki Corvette on Gorevette, the new band she formed with Amy Gore of the Gore Gore Girls. Nikki talks about how she and Amy met, how they formed Gorevette, what the band is all about, a 2009 tour and plans for an album.
Gorevette blends Corvette’s classic Detroit punk/rock hybrid sound with Gore’s hard-driving rhythms dominating the Motor City scene today. This unique blend mixes into a new style that has already received raves from fans. The conversation with Nikki Corvette will play in the second hour.

Also in the second hour, we will play some Iggy and the Stooges songs in honor of the passing of their innovative guitarist, Ron Asheton. (Our talk with Nikki Corvette was recorded earlier so we did not get a chance to ask her about Asheton who, with the Stooges, were a major influence on her career.)

The first hour will feature a new single from Andy Prieboy: “Pauper to a King.” Our review can be found here.
We will also play tracks from other artists of the era including Altered Images, INXS, The Damned and Madness.
