Maritn Brett (also known as “Brett Martini”), who played bass for Voice of the Beehive ln the late 1980s, is now taking his sour-stringer to the band I Ludicrous, an alternative rock band out of the U.K.

John Proctor, William Hung, and Brett Martini (Martin Brett)

Brett was most recently the guitarist for Dollshouse, which was featured on a past Revenge of the 80s Show and post. He describes Ludicrous in a MySpace post as “teh most original band in the world.” The band, which features members William Hung (no, not the American Idol guy) and John Proctor, describes itself on its own website as “the second best band around, only bettered by The Fall.

We at Revenge of the 80s wish Martin the best with his new group. He was nice enough to send me copies of hsi latest CD with Dollshuose and a rare pressnig of “Bee Sides” from Voice of the Beehive earleir this year when we put the show together. When Brett records some new material with I, Ludicrous you will be hearing from them on Revenge of the 80s.
