Louise Robey is known to her longtime fans as a popular model, “Micki Foster” from the TV show Friday the 13th – the Series and the club songstress most noted for her top dance hit “One Night in Bangkok.” Today, the five-octave soprano releases the musical story of her life through Louise Robey – Music Anthology 1979-2009 (Buddha Red Records).

Music Anthology spans Robey’s singing career from her original band, Louise and the Creeps, through the years when she was a rising singing star and actress to her most recent artistry. Having worked with her collaborators on it for over two years, Robey says completing the collection is like giving birth again: “It was a long delievery, however mother and children are completely and utterly well.”

The compilation is arranged in a rather savvy way by Buddha Red Records’ Mike MacLean as is leads off with two new tracks before going back to Robey’s first recordings with Louise and the Creeps. “Like A Woman Scorned” has not only received a lot of play in European clubs already this summer, it has attracted top DJs like The Sharp Boys and Julian Marsh to create contrasting remixes of the cut. That and the other of the new tracks, “Firebird,” are produced by the anthology’s Executive Producer, Phil Harding . Also, Robey’s late husband, renowned photographer Stan Shaffer, has been a major creative force on this project.
