This week on Revenge of the 80s Radio, Paul Collins, co-founder of The Nerves and founder of The Beat talks with us. Collins, an alt-rock icon, is set to soon release his newest album, The King of Power Pop. Our interview leads off the second hour of the show.

Collins is also the Supreme Commander of The Beat Army, a social network dedicated to the preservation of power pop music. During our conversation, Paul Collins and i discuss his career, the level of success he achieved with The Beat, his thoughts on the power pop genre, his new music and the next generation of power pop artists and fans.

We will also play classic alternative music by Altered Images, XTC, Rikki St. James, Nikki and the Corvettes and more.
