Adriana Kaegi‘s documentary, Kid Creole and My Coconuts, is officially on the schedule to be screened at the CMJ Film Festival in New York City. It is scheduled to run 9:15pm, October 22nd at the Clearview Theater on 23rd Street.

When she was a member of Kid Creole and the Coconuts (a founding member), Adriana had the foresight to record hours of video footage from concerts, backstage, on tour and other candid situations. She recently completed the DVD; we will keep you posted on its future distribution and availability.

Adriana and I discussed Kid Creole and My Coconuts during our interview together earlier this year on Revenge of the 80s Radio. She tells the story of how the band was put together, the good times, the struggles, some conflicts and the music.

Reservations for the screening can be made at the CMJ Film Festival’s website.
