As the Regeneration Tour 2008 rolls on, A Flock of Seagulls founder and frontman Mike Score takes some time to talk with Revenge of the 80s Radio. The former hairdresser combined his own creative talents with his love of science fiction effects to form the band, which found success in the U.K. before sweeping America with the release of “I Ran (So Far Away).”
During the interview, which will lead off the second hour, we discuss the band beginnings as well as Score’s influences and creative vision for the band. Currently, Score is working on a solo project along with his plans for new releases from A Flock of Seagulls.
We will also play tracks from some other great artists of the era, including Nikki and the Corvettes, Missing Persons, Voice of the Beehive and an early classic from Dexy’s Midnight Runners.
