In honor of what would have been Kirsty MacColl’s 50th birthday on October 10th, we re-aired our May 2, 2008 show, when I talked with Jean MacColl (Kirsty’s mother). Jean MacColl at the time wrote the official Kirsty MacColl biography, Sun on the Water, and leads the Justice for Kirsty Campaign. We talked abuot Kirsty’s life, her career, her music and the MacColl family’s efforts to bring the case to justice in Mexico.
Our discussion leads off the second hour of the show. We also have music from classic alternative artists including Mental As Anything, strange Advance, Kim Wilde and Romeo Void.
