Today, October 10th would have been Kirsty MacColl’s 50th birthday. The sad news of her tragic accident in 2001 while vacationing in Cozumel struck music fans around the world and continues to be a story of corruption and injustice that led to a fight which her family continues today.
This week on Revenge of the 80s, we want to say “Happy Birthday” to Terri Nunn who will be celebrating tonight in concert at the Rosemont Theater in Chicago with Berlin and the Regeneration Tour. We will play a classic Berlin track in her honor. We will also pay tribute to Michael Jackson who, although was a more mainstream artist than normally featured here, transcended the restrictions of genre.

I had a great time during that discussion; Tracey and Missy are extremely nice and were happy to talk about the band, which also included Martin Brett, Daniel Woodgate and Mike Jones.
