Terri Nunn and Berlin are recording a special April 4th concert at the House of Blues Sunset in West Hollywood, California. The show will be recorded for their upcoming live CD/DVD package due out in June, according to the Official Berlin Website

This week’s show features a track from Seona Dancing, the UK Alt-Pop duo that showcased the vocal prowess of Ricky Gervais, creator of the international hit TV series, The Office. We also showcased a 2008 track from Australian legends Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

On tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show we will, as always, play some of your favorite Classic Alternative tracks from the 1980s. Among the special features is a track from “The Office” creator Ricky Gervais’ band, Seona Dancing.

Friends and fans of former Plimsouls singer and band founder Peter Case have put together a fund and are working on a benefit concert to raise money for him as he recovers from his emergency heart surgery in January. The Hidden Love Relief Fund has been established to help pay for Case’s heavy medical bills as he is one of the millions of Americans without health insurance.

For this week’s show, we mix in a bit more new music from artists of the 1980s with the alternative classics. We feature new creations from Adriana Kaegi, Gorevette (Nikki Corvette’s band), Louise Robey, Martin Fry, Andy Prieboy and Stan Ridgway

For tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio Show, we will not only feature classic alternative tracks from the 80s, we will play a bit more than usual of some of the artists’ newer music.
We will feature new music from Andy Prieboy, Stan Ridgway, Adriana Kaegi (whose TAG album will be out soon), Louise Robey, Martin Fry and ABC (from last year’s Traffic album) and Nikki Corvette’s band Gorevette as well as some other post-80s work from the era’s great performers.

Former X leader John Doe has had one of the more diverse careers of anyone borne from the L.A. punk scene of the late 70s/early 80s and this new effort looks to be another musical gem from him.

Classic Alternative Band Devo is auctioning a custom one-of-a-kind bicycle online with 100% of the proceeds going to the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation to fight cancer.

To celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary, I will re-air our first interview in the history of our show: a conversation with Tracey and Missy Belland of Voice of the Beehive. I had a great time during that discussion; Tracey and Missy are extremely nice and were happy to talk about the band, which also included Martin Brett, Daniel Woodgate and Mike Jones.

Our guest is Adriana Kaegi, the original “Mama Coconut” of the influential band Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Adriana is a woman of many talents: singer, choreographer, designer, businessperson and internet pioneer are among her credits. She will soon release her solo album, TAG (from which we premiere a track) and she has recently completed a video documentary about her experiences with the band she helped establish entitled “Kid Creole and My Coconuts.”

Not long after performing at Radio City Music Hall on February 28th, ex-Talking Heads singer David Byrne will begin a tour of Europe on March 9th according to his website. Byrne is performing in support of his new album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, a team effort between him and Brian Eno. The effort can be ordered its special website on CD, as a digital download and in vinyl,

U2’s latest offering, No Line on the Horizon is out in the US. The album is the first new one from the band in five years.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show (3/7) will feature a conversation with Adriana Kaegi, a founding member of the influential Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Kaegi is diversely talented in music, choreography, costume design, marketing and business. We will talk about her career, her soon-to-be-released album — TAG — and her recently-completed documentary DVD: “Kid Creole and My Coconuts.”

Robey has led a very interesting life and has had a diverse career. She is also coming out with new music. Our interview takes place during the second hour of the show

Tonight’s guest on Revenge of the 80s Radio will be Louise Robey, best known for her 1980s dance hits “One Night in Bangkok” and “Killer Instinct” as well as for the TV role of Micki Foster on Friday the 13th – The Series (Season 2 DVDs have been recently released). We will play some of Robey’s classic tracks, one from her band Louise and the Creeps and something from her soon-to-be-released collection.
