Ken Ober, host of MTV’s Remote Control game show, passed away at age 52.

This week, we featured a new single from I, Ludicrous: “We’re the Support Band.” We also feature classic alternative tracks from artists including Siouxsie and the Banshees, Gazebo, The Clash, Icehouse, Holly and the Italians and Aztec Camera.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show will include a new track from British band I, Ludicrous.

Dave Wakeling, of English Beat and General Public fame, is back on tour. He is leading his newest English Beat lineup through North America for a concert series that ends 2009 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Redondo Beach, California.

MTV reports former Bauhaus lead singer Peter Murphy will appear in a cameo role in the sequel to teen-angst-vampire movie Twilight entitled Eclipse.

The World Premiere of Louise Robey’s “A Woman Scorned” will be this coming Friday night, 11/6/09, on Revenge of the 80s Radio.

This week’s show featured great driving music of the 1980s. Artists featured in this weeks show include Men Without Hats, The Kings, Pearl Harbor and the Explosions and Nikki and the Corvettes. We also played new cuts from Josie Cotton, ABC and Stan Ridgway with Pietra Wexstun.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s will be packed with some of the nest driving music of the 1980s. Artists featured include The Little Girls, Nikki and the Corvettes, The Kings and Jason and the Scorchers.

While I am out on vacation this week, we will rebroadcast our 1/9/09 show featuring a conversation with Nikki Corvette on the band she recently formed with Amy Gore (The Gore Gore Girls), Gorevette. We will also have some of the first tracks they recorded on the show.
