Tonight’s show features a re-broadcast of our April 2008 interview with musical genius Stan Ridgway

This week’s show features a conversation with Josie Cotton, who became the world’s new wave sweetheart when she performed (already an international hit) “Johnny Are You Queer” in the movie Valley Girl.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s will take a geographical turn: we feature classic alternative music from the 80s about cities, countries, locations and other points of interest around the world — real and fictional.

This week, Revenge of the 80s airs a rebroadcast of its movie soundtrack music special. Artists featured include Trio, Dolby’s Cube, The Plimsouls, Bone Symphony and Wall of Voodoo.

This week, we have wall-to-wall classic alternative cover songs of the 1980s from artists including Captain Sensible, Strawberry Switchblade, The Tom Tom Club, Louise Robey and The Cure

The second hour of this week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio will be another Classic Alternative Dance Party with club hits from Yaz, Falco, Dominatrix and more.
Artists featured in the first hour include REM, Jason and the Scorchers, Wall of Voodoo and Boomerang.

This week’s program features a conversation with Louise Robey, who scored several dance hits in the 1980s including her rendition of “One Night in Bangkok,” was also well-known for her role as “Micki Foster” on the TV show Friday the 13th – The Series. Robey has led a very interesting life and has had a diverse career. She is also coming out with new music. Our interview takes place during the second hour of the show

Tonight’s guest on Revenge of the 80s Radio will be Louise Robey, best known for her 1980s dance hits “One Night in Bangkok” and “Killer Instinct” as well as for the TV role of Micki Foster on Friday the 13th – The Series (Season 2 DVDs have been recently released). We will play some of Robey’s classic tracks, one from her band Louise and the Creeps and something from her soon-to-be-released collection. My conversation with Louise Robey leads off the second hour of the show.

A short while back, Revenge of the 80s Radio did a show featuring great movie soundtrack songs of the 80s. We featured some of the more well-known tracks as well as some of the more obscure. The question, however, of which movie soundtrack songs stood out from the others bore answering

Leading off the second hour is our conversation with legendary Detroit Alt-Rocker Nikki Corvette, who with Amy Gore of the Gore Gore Girls formed Gorevette. The first hour featured new music from Andy Prieboy as part of a series of singles he has been putting out since November 2008.

This week on Revenge of the 80s, I will play a recently-taped conversation with Nikki Corvette on her new band, “Gorevette,” which is a collaborative effort with super girl-rocker Amy Gore of the Gore Gore Girls. We will also feature a new single from the band as well as a new track from Andy Prieboy

A musical master strikes again: Andy Prieboy has released three new tracks in addition to the five he previously put out, some of which were featured on Revenge of the 80s last month.
