Tonight on Revenge of the 80s Radio, we will honor the legendary Michael Hutchence, who would have celebrated his 50th birthday today had it not been for his tragic death in 1997.

A new DVD, Rise Up: Canadian Pop Music in the 1980s, attempts to right the wrongs of music history outside the confines of the Great White North, exposing some of the great sounds out of the Canadian New Wave movement to classic alternative fans today.

Tonight, we will have our first new show of 2010. We will kick off the new year by featuring two previously unreleased tracks by August Darnell of Kid Creole and the Coconuts.
