This week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show features a conversation with actress Sally Kellerman, best known to 80s fans as Rodney Dangerfield’s English Professor/love interest in the movie Back to School and the Judge in Moving Violations. She has a new CD out: “Sally.”

Friends and fans of former Plimsouls singer and band founder Peter Case have put together a fund and are working on a benefit concert to raise money for him as he recovers from his emergency heart surgery in January. The Hidden Love Relief Fund has been established to help pay for Case’s heavy medical bills as he is one of the millions of Americans without health insurance.

Classic Alternative Band Devo is auctioning a custom one-of-a-kind bicycle online with 100% of the proceeds going to the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation to fight cancer.

Major dates on the Regeneration Tour 2009 are set with more expected to be confirmed soon according to concert promoters Red Entertainment on the Tour’s Official Website.
The lineup features ABC, Cutting Crew, Wang Chung and Heaven 17. Berlin featuring Terri Nunn will play at several of the locations as well.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show (3/7) will feature a conversation with Adriana Kaegi, a founding member of the influential Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Kaegi is diversely talented in music, choreography, costume design, marketing and business. We will talk about her career, her soon-to-be-released album — TAG — and her recently-completed documentary DVD: “Kid Creole and My Coconuts.”

Tonight’s guest on Revenge of the 80s Radio will be Louise Robey, best known for her 1980s dance hits “One Night in Bangkok” and “Killer Instinct” as well as for the TV role of Micki Foster on Friday the 13th – The Series (Season 2 DVDs have been recently released). We will play some of Robey’s classic tracks, one from her band Louise and the Creeps and something from her soon-to-be-released collection. My conversation with Louise Robey leads off the second hour of the show.

Organizers for the 2009 Regeneration Tour added Cutting Crew to the concert series lineup, but received the unfortunate news that Men Without Hats were forced to withdraw.

We have refined some of the features on the Revenge of the 80s Radio website, including the completion of a second Interview Archives page, which features conversations with Terri Nunn, Andy Prieboy, Andy Taylor, Robin Lane and several others.

Canadian new wavers Men Without Hats will be one of the headliners of Regeneration Tour 2009. They will appear with ABC, Berlin (on select dates), Wang Chung and Heaven 17 as they perform throughout the U.S. between June 17 and July 16.

This will be a new feature, which will sporadically appear on our Revenge of the 80s Radio website, highlighting some of the interesting posts form other bloggers

Officials at the annual South by Southwest Music Festival, which takes place March 13-22 in Austin, added Devo as a headliner to the event
